For over 130 years your Bakersfield Firefighters have been aggressively working to provide a safer community for Bakersfield residents.  Over the course of the last century our city has been ravaged by fires, earthquakes, and floods.  From the inception of the first Hook and Ladder Company, Steam Pumper Company, and Hose Company, to the present day, our 180 member strong Bakersfield Firefighter Association, prides itself on community service that is number ONE.  

From on duty to off duty our membership continues to get out and give to the community through charities, public education, our annual Firework Show, our Fair Booth, Burn Foundation, and rental of our Association Hall for special events, fundraisers, and more.  Our membership is as strong and motivated as ever.   Thanks to the dedication of our membership and overwhelming support from the community the future shines bright for our Association and your Fire Department .  When you see "Big Red" rolling down your street then you know we are there to help you.
